World Firefighters games starts at the Liverpool University Sports Centre.
August 08
11 of our Junior Club members attended the publicity Launch for the European Doubles championships at Everton Park. Tickets are now on sale for the biggest badminton event to be held in Liverpool.
July 08
We will be holding our AGM on the 21st July, 9pm at the Bohemian's Tennis Club.
All members are encouraged to attend. Our Club tournament will be starting soon, collect your entry forms.
June 08
World Firefighters games, to be held in Liverpool at the end of August. Have you signed up to help out yet? Neil Graham will be the competition manager for this event. You can register for this or any other duty on the Games website.

The next National Yehlex Badminton Bonanza will be held in Birmingham on the 9th & 10th August 08. There is a downloadable application form on the Liverpool Badminton website. Entries close on the 14th July 08.
Season nearly over, the final game between our third team and Apollo will take place on Monday 14th April at home.

All club members and their friends are invited to attend the biggest and best Badminton evening there is 'In Liverpool'. All trophies and awards will be presented on the night. Come and support our first team who have won the 1st Division Trophy. Buffet, dancing, late bar, raffle. Tickets a mere £6, payable on the door.

24th September 2007
The selection committe was voted in on Monday 17th and they will be meeting to select the teams on the 24th September. If you would like to be in a team then make sure your membership fees have been payed and let the selection committee know of your situation this season. Our 1st match is 1st October. All team registration forms will need to be completed on the 24th so please try to be present.
30th August 2007
The new season will be starting shortly. Fixtures will be available soon and teams will be selected for the forthcoming season. All members should now be attending club nights to gain some practice and gain familiarity with the new scoring system.
Membership fees are now due and remain at last seasons prices Adults £90, Jnrs £50.
We will be voting for the selection committee on the 10th September.
The league have arranged a taster day on Sunday 2nd September at Holly Lodge. 1-4pm
Officials will be there to answer questions about the new system. Come along and have a free team practice. 4 courts available for 3 hours. Call Rob for more info.

19th October 06
Fords 1st played Hilltop 2nd on Thursday in their new venue. A good result for our team who won 8-0. Our second team will have a close game when they play.
17th October
Fords 2nd team drew against Hilltop 1st. A few close games with the final result resting on a mens doubles between Eddy & Kugan v Stuart & Tom. Well done team a good result. We lost that match 2-6 last year.
11th October - Visit the Liverpool website to enter the Stan Wahler team tournament.
Closing date 26th October 06.

We all bid a farewell to Dave K who has now set off for Birmingham to study.
We will see him at the Christmas party, if not before. We hope he settles in to his new badminton club, KRS (Birmingham League) and continues to develop his skills.
Look after him Kenroy! We need him back in good shape for 2008.

Jamie Fairclough has now set off for Shanghai - to start his full time badminton training. Keep a look out on the website message board for trip updates.

5th March 2006-
Stan Whaller Team Tournament was held at Holly Lodge on Sunday.
We entered 2 teams. Our A team managed to beat CF in the final. Well done to all those that took part.
2nd March 2006 -
23 Junior Club members and friends attended the England V Denmark Match in Preston. 12 had front row seating thanks to Unis and will appear on TV - Grandstand Sat/ Sun. We will post the Gail Emms photo as soon as possible.
4th February 2006 - Don't forget the English Nationals this weekend, Sport City, Manchester. The NEW club singles ladder is now up and running ready for competition. It is open to anyone who attends the club. Have fun - but don't be disappointed if you cannot reach the No.1 slot.
9th January 2006 - Club now open for business! Happy New Year to Ye all.

15 July 2005- Summer News
Due to re-decoration of the sports hall at Holly Lodge over the summer we will need to relocate to another venue on the 8th,15th, 22nd & 29th August. Our temporary venue will be Kensington Community Sports Centre, Jubilee Drive, L7 8SJ. Same time 7-10pm.
Please pass on this information to all our players.
The Liverpool league will be running a FREE Junior Coaching session for 2 hours
on Saturday 20th August.
This will take place at Garston Sports Centre between 12-2pm. Could all our Junior Club Coaches make themselves available on the day to help out. Contact Rob or Jean Dean.

4/11/04 - Season updates
All teams have got off to a steady start with the 1st team only dropping 1 game to Fords 2.
The 2nd team had a good win against Apollo, 6-2. They were unable to field a regular team against CF 1, due to the half term school holiday and so lost 2-6. We will have our 8-0 revenge on the 7th February.
The 3rd team have beat Girobank 6-2 but lost to Delco 2, 2-6. The match against Delco 1st has been rearranged to the 18th April 05. Hilltop 3 were unable to field a team on Monday 1st November and so an 8-0 win has been awarded.

What a busy tournament night we had. 20 men and 12 ladies turned up to play in the annual Fords tournament. Ladies Doubles was won by Joanna Lowton & Julie Murray.
The mens doubles final will be between group A WINNERS Rob S & Neil G
and GROUP B Winners Jamie Fairclough & Johnny Ly. This will be played on Monday 20th September.
